Things to Do Near Little Camp Slocan

Little Camp Slocan works well both as a place to stay put and as a base for exploring the surrounding area. Some guests come mainly for the quiet, the Little Slocan River, and the forest around camp. Others use it as a jumping-off point for lake days, Valhalla-area hiking, paddling, swimming, climbing, local food, live music, and the wider mix of nature and culture found throughout the Slocan Valley and nearby Kootenay communities.

You do not need to leave the campground to have a full day. Guests can spend time along the Little Slocan River, walk toward the beaver dams, relax in a hammock, watch for wildlife from a respectful distance, explore nearby Crown land, or simply use the campground as a place to slow down. The pace can be as quiet or as social as you want it to be.
